Weight Loss Recipes and Food for Cats

Weight loss can be easier and more effective for cats than it is for people. The fact is, cats naturally have a lean body type.

They have a slower metabolism than we do, so they generally stay lean for their body type.

They also don’t have the typical problems we face with weight gain, such as diabetes, heart disease and stroke.

And they often don’t need to eat as much as they do to feel full, so they don’t usually need as much as we do in order to maintain a healthy weight.

That said, just because your cat naturally stays lean doesn’t mean they don’t need to eat. While they don’t gain weight the way that people do, it still is good to monitor your cat’s weight. The only difference is, they don’t usually gain weight as much as people do.

If your cat doesn’t need to eat as much as you do, you can try switching to a lower-calorie or higher-protein food.

Cats naturally have a lean body type.

We often think of cats as smaller versions of themselves, but they actually have a lean body type similar to other cats.

Lean body weight, or “dry weight”, is calculated by adding the amount of lean muscle mass to the amount of fat your cat has.

You can calculate your cat’s lean body weight, and how much you should be feeding them, by dividing their weight by two.

How to calculate your cat’s body weight

To calculate your cat’s lean body weight, divide your cat’s weight by two.

This means:

If your cat weighs one pound, divide by two and that’s one-half of their lean body weight, or .5 pounds.

If your cat weighs .5 pounds, divide by two and that’s .25 of their lean body weight, or .25 pounds.

Then, simply multiply that by two to find how much they’re actually eating in a given day.

Cats don’t need to eat as much as you do, so try switching to a lower-calorie or higher-protein food.

How to feed your cat for a lean body type

If you want to make sure your cat stays lean, you need to increase the amount they’re eating.

Dry weight is one way to keep your cat from gaining weight and staying lean, and it’s easy to measure.

Feeding your cat 1.5 to 2 times their weight in dry food per day will keep them lean, and 1.5 to 2 times their weight in canned food will keep them lean.

Some cats may also benefit from a high-calorie food that’s low in water.

In general, we recommend feeding dry food rather than canned because the dry food won’t create an acidic environment in the stomach, which can lead to other digestive issues.

What kinds of food should you feed your cat?

There are multiple types of food for different body types, but the types of food we’ll go over here are:

Lean foods

High-protein foods

Dry foods

High-calorie foods

A mix of low-calorie foods

A mix of high-calorie foods

How do you know what kind of food you need for your cat?

It depends on how much your cat is actually eating.

How much your cat eats varies based on their metabolism, food preferences, and how long they spend outside of the house.

The more they’re active and eating their favorite foods, the less their caloric intake.

The type of food your cat is fed is something you need to consider when deciding how much they should eat.

Your cat may like dry food, but if you only have a can of wet food to feed them, they might not eat very much of it.

A can of wet food doesn’t have much dry food, and it has a lot of sugar.

When you’re feeding your cat dry food or wet food, you need to make sure you’re providing the appropriate nutrition.

Are canned foods OK?

No. A can of wet food may be high in fat and/or sugar.

When you feed your cat, you need to make sure that they are getting the proper nutrition to keep their bodies running properly.

What if you can’t find the right foods?

How to Feed Your Cat: A Review of Dry and Wet Foods

Dry foods have a much longer shelf life than wet foods and are made from all-natural ingredients.

That makes it easier for you to keep on hand.

Not all dry foods are made the same, though, and that can make it a bit confusing.

Some dry food companies use more natural ingredients than others, and that can mean a lot when it comes to the nutrition your cat receives.

If you’re thinking about switching up the foods you’re feeding your cat, I’ve written this guide to help you choose between dry and wet foods.
